Cornerstone Construction Services was started more than 30 years ago by Janet Stone and Amadita Vasquez Stone. In September of 2000 Jason Gonder joined the team and is now co-owner with Amadita and now serves as its’ Vice President. Solid Waste has been a staple part of our business and the focus on this industry has helped many of our clients with facility repairs that last through the abuse that MSW deals out.

Cornerstone understands the needs of the Waste Transfer and Recycle Center Industries regarding Leachate Management. We have developed “Bullet Proof” Trench Drain solutions for these aggressive environments. Our standard for Trench Drain Grates are aircraft rated ductile iron. We have developed a Frame that is reinforced with Crane Rail for superior durability. We have recently completed a 30,000 Gallon Leachate Management System for Orange County Florida including all Electrical Work and Controls, Industrial Piping and Tank Systems.

Steel Plating and Edge repairs are the first line of defense against Front End Loader abuse and wear. Because we have been repairing Transfer Stations for over a decade, we know what goes wrong. Steel Plating that is improperly installed becomes Malleable and will cause a greatly reduced service life. Our team of fabricators and Certified Welders will professionally install plating on Push Walls that will take abuse for years to come.

Along with great engineering teams, we have developed solutions for Slab Edges and Push Walls that are much stronger than anything installed in the past. Our “Fish Hook” plate and Schedule 140 Pipe edge fixes have proven to outlast normal Channel Iron and Plate edge treatments.

Cornerstone Construction Services has been self performing Tipping Floor Repairs since 1994 including full depth removal of entire tipping floors on LB Mcleod Waste Transfer Station and Volusia Counties Waste Transfer Station. This work typically involves Demolition, Compaction, new Reinforcing Steel and installation of new 40 Pound Crane Rails.

Cornerstone is a certified installer of most major brands of thin topping surfaces including EmoryTop 400 and AnvilTop 300. We are certified by American Concrete Institute as a Commercial / Industrial Flatwork Specialist including Silica Fume.
